Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients' functional abilities, limitations, and goals.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for holistic care.
  • Administer occupational therapy treatments including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, ADL training, and adaptive equipment provision.
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques, home exercises, and adaptive strategies to maximize independence.
  • Regularly reassess patients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans according to regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional standards, maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
  • Meet the needs of Plan of Care, including follow-ups for noncompliance.
  • Collaborate with nonclinical staff to support caseload needs; delegate to COTA when applicable.
  • Drive a collaborative culture aligned with service vision.
  • Adapt to changes in patient schedules and daily routines.
  • Stay updated on OT techniques and technologies and integrate into practice.

About The Role

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing occupational therapy programs to help patients develop or regain daily living skills.   • Meet the needs of having patient execute Plan of Care including but not limited to following up with patients if noncompliance occurs
  • Be a team player to utilize nonclinical staff to support needs of the caseload (IE play nice with aides and PSRs that help support the staff)
  • Delegate to COTA when applicable
  • Drive a collaborative culture based on our service vision
  • Adapt to change in patient schedules and daily patterns
  • Keep updated on advancements in occupational therapy techniques, technologies, and best practices, integrating them into clinical practice as appropriate
Skills & Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is preferred
