eTRANSERVICES is seeking an Occupational and Environmental Health SME to bridge DoD OEH practices with IT delivery. The role focuses on industrial hygiene, hearing conservation, and data management, ensuring system capabilities align with field needs.

You will participate in requirements sessions, support validation of ILER data, and help produce training materials and documentation while collaborating with developers and health professionals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required in Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Audiology, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.
  • 8-10+ years of hands-on occupational and environmental health or hearing conservation program experience.
  • Direct field experience with DOEHRS-IH, DOEHRS-HC, or an equivalent occupational health or clinical audiometric data management system.
  • Strong understanding of occupational and environmental health business processes and field practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional and clinical guidance to development teams on OEH business processes, ensuring system design reflects industrial hygiene and hearing conservation practices.
  • Represent the Industrial Hygienist, Bioenvironmental Engineer, occupational audiology, and hearing conservation perspectives during requirements sessions, sprint reviews, and user story refinement.
  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and prioritize system enhancements and change requests.
  • Validate that new capabilities support DOEHRS-IH/DOE-HC data requirements and ILER data requirements.
  • Support user acceptance testing and operational testing activities from a clinical, functional, and domain-accuracy perspective.
  • Advise technical teams on hearing conservation program business rules, audiometric test calculation logic, and DOEHRS-HC/audiometer data integration accuracy.
  • Contribute subject matter expertise to training materials, user guides, and related documentation to ensure accurate field terminology, processes, and workflows.
  • Assist with change request impact analysis, identifying potential functional, operational, or clinical risks associated with proposed system changes.

eTRANSERVICES is currently bidding on this position. This position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract or bid proposal. While we are actively reviewing candidates, please be advised that the position may be contingent upon contract award and Government approval.About the RoleDOEHRS-IH and DOEHRS-HC support critical clinical and occupational health missions, including industrial hygiene, bioenvironmental engineering, and hearing conservation. We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who can bridge the gap between IT delivery teams and the industrial hygienists, audiologists, and occupational health professionals who use these systems.This role will help ensure system capabilities, enhancements, and workflows accurately reflect real-world occupational and environmental health (OEH) practices and user needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide functional and clinical guidance to development teams on occupational and environmental health (OEH) business processes, ensuring system design reflects industrial hygiene and hearing conservation practices.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Audiology, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.8-10+ years of hands-on occupational and environmental health or hearing conservation program experience.Demonstrated experience as an Industrial Hygienist, Bioenvironmental Engineer, occupational audiology professional, hearing conservation professional, or similar role within DoD or another regulated environment.Direct field experience with DOEHRS-IH, DOEHRS-HC, or an equivalent occupational health or clinical audiometric data management system.Strong understanding of occupational and environmental health business processes and field practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Board Certification in Audiology, or other relevant professional certification.DoD or military occupational health program experience supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, or joint environments.Experience with hearing conservation programs and audiometric data management.Experience with medical device data capture interfaces, including audiometers.Familiarity with the DoD Exposure Assessment Model.Prior experience supporting Individual Longitudinal Exposure Record (ILER) initiatives or related DoD health data integration efforts.
