Peabody Properties is seeking an experienced Occupancy Specialist for apartment communities in Salem, MA. The role focuses on property recertification, program compliance, and resident relations.

You will process resident information, determine eligibility, show apartments, and ensure accurate income calculations while maintaining compliance with LIHTC, Section 8 and related regulations. A COS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of property management experience with EIV.
• Strong knowledge of affordable housing programs, LIHTC, Project‑Based Section 8, and federal/state/local regulations.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in basic math and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

Compensation and Benefits

Peabody Properties offers a base salary of $68,000–$70,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, 401(k), STD, life insurance, Employee Assistance Programs, paid time off, paid holidays, paid training, tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, referral bonuses, and flex spending.
