Job summary

Merit Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver patient-centered care across the nursing process, from assessment to evaluation. You will coordinate with the care team, administer medications, monitor patient status, and educate patients and families while adhering to safety and infection control protocols.

The role requires 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations, RN licensure, and BCLS certification; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• Active RN state licensure and BCLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process and organizational policies
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare team to develop and evaluate care plans
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities
• Maintains infection control protocols and patient safety standards
• Documents patient care and education thoroughly in the medical record
• Engages in professional development and performance improvement initiatives
• Educates patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Participates in audits and compliance checks to ensure standards are met
• Educates and supports obstetrics-related care (where applicable)
