Job summary

Ascend Medical Staffing seeks a NP/PA in OB/GYN for locum coverage at Colorado Springs, CO. Primarily clinic coverage with hospital shifts, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, plus on-call obligations.

Group of 5 OB/GYNs and 2 mid-levels, supported by RNs, LPNs, MAs, PAS, and scheduler. Ideal candidate has OB/GYN clinical experience, performs routine and complex deliveries, and can handle C-sections and VBACs.

Qualifications

• Experience performing routine and complicated OB deliveries.
• Ability to interpret fetal heart rate (FHR).
• C-section and VBAC management experience.
• No supervision responsibilities during coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide OB/GYN care in clinic and hospital settings in Colorado Springs.
• Handle 1:5 weekday call and 1:10 overnight/weekend call.
• Manage a caseload with approximately 20 clinic patients per day, multiple deliveries and GYN surgeries.
• Collaborate with an OB/GYN group and hospital staff during coverage.

Case Load Mix:

• Low risk pregnancy: 70%
• High risk pregnancy: 10%
• C-Section: 30%
• Office GYN: 10%
• Surgical GYN: 10%

Clinic Resources:

• Lab onsite
• Ultrasound onsite (performed by techs)
• 11 exam rooms
• Support staff includes RNs, LPNs, MAs, PAS, and surgery scheduler
• Equipment includes LEEP, NST, ultrasound, cystoscopy, cryosurgery, and colposcopy
