OBGYN Opening Near San Jose

Located in Watsonville, CA - approximately 54 miles from San Jose and 95 miles from San Francisco.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Valid California OB/GYN Physician's license.
• Maintains an updated CPR certificate, valid California driver's license, and a valid DEA license; submits copies of renewed licenses and certificates to Human Resources.
• Board certified in OB/GYN practice.
• Fluent/bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Eligible for Physician's Assistant Supervisory license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain hospital admitting privileges at the local hospital as required by the Chief Medical Officer.

Key Practice Details:

• Full scope practice including outpatient clinic, surgical procedures, and labor and delivery.
• Opportunity for quality improvement projects and community outreach.
• 12 or 24-hour hospitalist shifts in-house.
• In-house anesthesia and pediatrics services.
• Approximately 60-90 deliveries per month (10% Kaiser, 90% Salud).
• Level II Nursery (generally all > 34 weeks gestation).
• ER consults with OR team available as needed.
• No involvement with students or residents.
• Malpractice coverage through FTCA and NorCAL.
