Job description

Silvis, Illinois, OB/GYN Opening

• Clinical Role:
• Interest in covering both inpatient and outpatient services
• Required procedures include fetal monitoring, low risk pregnancy management, FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), OB ultrasounds (performance and interpretation), routine and complicated deliveries, office/gynaecology procedures (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, laparoscopic diagnostics/minor surgeries), and operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovarian removal, cystectomy).
• State-of-the-art birthing center with 16 LDRP rooms, Level II nursery, and dedicated surgical suite.
• Outpatient office located on campus, close to LDRP, with experienced staff.
• Rotating call schedule 1:4.
• Partnership with local FQHC for safety net care in a medically underserved community.
• Facility details: 15 beds, 2 exam rooms plus procedure room, onsite ultrasound, no onsite lab, EMR system transitioning from Cerner to Epic by 2025.
• Patient load: flexible, with a goal of 3 physicians, and 2 APPs (future state).
• Support staff includes seasoned RNs and support staff.
• Pregnancy risk distribution: 40-50% low risk, 50-60% high risk; C-section rate around 30%; nursery admissions 0-3/day, Level II trauma nursery.
• Open to J1 & H1B visa candidates; new graduates eligible if within 5 years of residency and planning to test for board certification before start.
