Community Hospital Obstetrician-Gynecologist Opportunity

Community Hospital, located in the beautiful Appalachian Highlands, is seeking qualified Obstetrician-Gynecologists to join their current staff. The physician will work alongside an OBGYN generalist, two OBGYN Laborists, a Family Nurse Practitioner, and a Certified Nurse Midwife to serve Wise County. This program is supported by our Women’s Center of Excellence and an OBGYN practice in Kingsport, TN, further strengthening our service line to the community.

The hospital has recently expanded its surgery department, significantly enhancing its surgical services and improving care quality and efficiency.

1. 1:4 Call
2. Over 400 births annually
3. Five pediatricians on staff
4. Seven LDRPs and 14 bassinets
5. C-sections performed in the recently renovated Birthing Center, attended by anesthesiologists or CRNA staff
6. Outpatient office conveniently located next to the Birthing Center
7. Collaborative team environment among staff and physicians
8. High-risk deliveries managed in partnership with Johnson City Medical Center, which oversees transfers for high-risk cases
9. Nearby Wings flight service with a 20-25 minute flight to Johnson City

We work with a vibrant medical community and a nationally recognized D.O. Internal Medicine Residency Program ranked second in the country. Our hospital benefits from a dedicated team of attendings who train residents and medical students.

The draw area serves a population of 75,000 to 100,000, including southwestern Virginia and southeastern Kentucky. A local 10-physician primary care network supports patient referrals and marketing efforts to attract new patients.

This employed physician opportunity offers a guaranteed base salary, with potential for increased earnings through an RVU-based productivity model.
