Job summary

Shawnee Health Service is seeking an OB/GYN clinician to join a close-knit group of physicians & nurse midwives. The role includes a 4-day work week with a scheduling mix of OR, clinic, and shared call at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Responsibilities include office consultations, colposcopy and LEAP procedures, outpatient surgeries, and inpatient rounding, with high-volume gynecologic surgeries using the da Vinci Surgical System and integrated care services.

• 660 deliveries in 2024 with a projected increase with over 500 current OB patients.


• 24-hour Anesthesia and Neonatology coverage at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.


• Role entails: office consultations, office-based procedures (colposcopy and LEAP), outpatient surgeries, inpatient rounding at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.


• High volume of gynecologic surgeries using latest robotics and training on the da Vinci Surgical System.
