An Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician provides specialized care in managing pregnancy, childbirth, and female reproductive health. This role includes responsibilities such as performing deliveries, addressing various obstetrical complications, and conducting gynecological surgeries. The physician works in a clinical setting with a team of healthcare providers, overseeing both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies while ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Details :

• Schedule : Clinic Mon-Thus is 9a 4 : 30p and Fri is 9a 3 : 30p. 24 hour call from 7am Sunday 7am Monday.
• Locum tenens will work at satellite locations : No
• Dates of Coverage : ASAP to August 2025
• Reason for coverage : loss of Physicians in the community

Caseload :

• Percentage of the Practice : Low risk pregnancy 40%, High risk pregnancy 30%, C-Section 30%, Office GYN 80%, Surgical GYN 20%
• Average number of patients per day : Clinic 20, Hospital 1-2
• Average number of deliveries per physician : 3
• Average number of GYN Surgeries per week : Clinic 1-3, Hospital 1-2
• OB / GYNs in your group : 5
• Mid-levels : 3.5
• Locum tenens physician required to supervise other healthcare providers : No
• Other OB / GYNs be present during locum tenens coverage : Yes
• Onsite Lab & Ultrasound Performed by Tech
• No. of exam rooms : 12
• Office ancillary staff : 1 / 1 MA coverage, Sonographer, 3 front desk, 1 surgical scheduler
• Documentation : EMR for Clinic and Hospital

Hospital Services :

• Locum tenens will require hospital privileges : Yes
• Time needed to obtain privileges : 90 days
• Number of hospitals the locum tenens will cover : 1

• Locum tenens will be involved in covering / supervising teaching services (residents / fellows) : Yes, oversee Community Health Center CNM's with c-section

Required Areas / Procedures :

• Low risk pregnancy Pt s with pre-existing problems, history of twins, history of toxemia,pyelonephritis, hyperemesis,etc.
• High risk pregnancy Pt. s with toxemia, diabetes, Class II or higher cardiacs, chronic lung problems, chronic renal disease, etc.
• FHR interpretation NST / CST / FSE
• Complicated delivery C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc.
• VBAC s
• Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Surgical gynecology open laparoscopic diagnostic / minor only tubal ligation, LOA s, chromal tubation & operative / major (includes diagnostic) ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA s
