Position Overview

Looking to put your leadership abilities to good use? TeamHealth OB/Gyn hospitalist programs offer an opportunity to further your career as a medical director for our OB/Gyn hospitalist program at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with and support the clinical team, hospital leadership, and medical staff.
2. Report to the national medical director (NMD) or associate regional medical director (AMD).
3. Maintain close collaboration among the clinical team and hospital leadership.
4. Drive patient safety and quality initiatives in line with the TeamHealth Patient Safety Organization.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Board-certified with at least 2 years of leadership experience.
• Demonstrate clinical excellence and possess superior communication skills.
• Practice clinically at the designated facility.
• Hold active and current skills across the full OB/Gyn spectrum, with the confidence to be the sole clinician during emergencies.
• Focus on providing quality care with the patient’s well-being as the priority.
