Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support obstetrical procedures in the Labor and Delivery OR. You will handle instruments, supplies, and equipment and anticipate the surgeon's needs to maintain a sterile field.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Surgical Technologist program, and at least one year of operating room experience. BCLS is required on hire; neonatal resuscitation is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program required
• 1 year previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist required
• 3 years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support on Hire required
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred

Responsibilities

• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during obstetrical operations in the Labor and Delivery OR
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs and maintain a sterile field
• Provide quality patient care under the direction of a registered nurse
