Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a sonography program.
• Six months to one year of diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred in acute care.
• General Ultrasound Sonography and OB Sonography ARDMS certification within 18 months; CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations (abdomen, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular) and assist physicians as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique and safe operation of equipment.
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions.
• Prepare room and equipment for exams and document findings.
• Maintain patient records and imaging data.
• Participate in inventory control and on-call duties.
