We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our remote team, providing patient-centered clinical care, triage, and care coordination for diverse families.

Qualifications

• Requires BSN and active, compact RN license with multi-state privileges.
• 4+ years nursing experience in hospital/healthcare, with at least 3 years in labor and delivery.
• Experience caring for maternal-child populations; knowledge of pregnancy-related care.
• Ability to work three 12-hour overnight shifts (9:00 PM–9:00 AM EST) and occasional weekends/holidays.
• Experience providing care in Spanish.
• Comfort working remotely via video, phone and text.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing clinical and psychosocial assessment of new patients, providing reassurance and building rapport.
• Identifying and addressing barriers to care identified by patients and/or the care team.
• Reducing care gaps (missed appointments, medication management) by frequent, personalized engagements.
• Educating patients on equipment for remote health monitoring.
• Timely response to abnormal diagnostic results (labs, radiology).
• Proactively triaging patients to support appropriate emergency services utilization.
• Timely documentation of care/interactions and escalation to multidisciplinary teams.

Role Description

SHIFT SCHEDULE

This position involves working three 12-hour overnight shifts per week (9:00 PM to 9:00 AM EST). Over a six-week period, you would work six weekend shifts total, which averages to about one weekend shift per week, though the exact schedule may vary. Additionally, there is a rotating holiday commitment, alternating between summer and winter holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Ongoing clinical and psychosocial assessment of new patients, providing reassurance and building rapport
• Identifying and addressing barriers to care that have been identified by patients and/or the care team.
• Reducing care gaps (missed appointments, medication management, etc.) by frequent and personalized engagements with patient
• Assessing the need for and educating patients on the equipment they will use to monitor their health remotely
• Timely response to abnormal diagnostic results (labs, radiology, etc.)
• Assessment of urgent concerns and proactively triaging patients to support appropriate utilization of emergency services
• Timely documentation of all care/interactions and escalating to appropriate multidisciplinary teams, as needed
• Supporting the development of programs and product by providing user feedback

Who you are

• Registered Nurse, with a minimum BSN, residing in a compact state, and possessing a current, active, unencumbered compact RN license with multi-state privileges
• Have 4+ years experience in a hospital and/or healthcare practice, serving maternal-child health populations (minimum 3 years in labor and delivery)
• Flexible and agile thinker who embraces change
• Are internet-connected, able to work remotely via video, phone and text
• Willing to travel occasionally (infrequent)
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Understand the prevalence of birth inequity and role that structural racism plays in maternal morbidity and mortality
• Experience providing care in Spanish
• Professionally engaged

Compensation

The expected base salary range offered for this role is $78,000-$83,000. This role is also eligible for equity, giving you an ownership stake in Pomelo's mission. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, competencies, and certifications.
