CU Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado, invites applications for an Open Rank Obstetric Anesthesiologist. The position provides comprehensive obstetric anesthesia, labor analgesia, and perioperative care, with responsibilities in teaching, research, and departmental leadership within the School of Medicine.

Responsibilities include supervising trainees, delivering high-risk obstetric care at the Colorado Fetal Care Center, and contributing to education and scholarly activity.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in Colorado.
• Board-eligible or diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology, or equivalent foreign certification.
• Fellowship-trained in obstetric anesthesiology.
• Meet School of Medicine requirements for rank (Assistant/Associate/Professor).
• Demonstrated teaching, clinical practice, research, and service experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia for obstetric procedures and labor analgesia.
• Perform pre- and post-anesthesia evaluation and write orders.
• Manage anesthetic care in OR, labor & delivery, radiology and outpatient centers.
• Supervise residents, CRNAs and anesthesiologist assistants.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve maternal-fetal outcomes.
• Provide solo obstetric and fetal anesthesia at the Colorado Fetal Care Center.
• Contribute to teaching through lectures, preceptorships and one-on-one instruction.
• Engage in clinical or laboratory research advancing the specialty.
