Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred and must be obtained within 8 years of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing in Michigan.
• BLS certification must be completed; Critical care or ALS certifications may be required for some units.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process of assessment, planning, diagnosing, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinates care with other professionals and delegates tasks within scope of practice.
• Documents patient response to care and resource use during each tour of duty.
• Participates in discharge planning and ensures continuity of care.
• Maintains patient safety, comfort and education throughout the stay.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development.
