St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Observation unit. The role is a day shift (7:00 am–7:00 pm), full-time with a 36-hour workweek, delivering evidence-based nursing care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while upholding ethical standards and advocating for patients and families in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and hold an active RN license in Kentucky or eligible for compact licensure.
• Demonstrates knowledge of nursing theory, clinical standards, and safe medication administration.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and ability to work in fast-paced observation settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based nursing care to designated patients in the Observation unit.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using nursing processes.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to licensed and unlicensed health care team members.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
