Job summary

TriHealth is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Observation Unit in Cincinnati. The role partners with the Nurse Manager to deliver safe, efficient, short-term observation care and to develop the nursing team.

You will lead staff, manage daily operations, and coordinate with physicians and care teams to improve patient flow and outcomes. A BSN and RN licensure are required, with 2–3 years of leadership and clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• RN license active in good standing.
• BSN degree required.
• 2–3 years progressive nursing leadership experience required.
• 2–3 years clinical nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, high-quality care for observation patients.
• Partner with Nurse Manager to support daily operations and staffing.
• Serve as clinical and administrative lead during shifts in the Observation Unit.
• Collaborate with physicians, case management and interprofessional teams.
• Monitor quality metrics and patient safety indicators; drive improvements.
• Lead staff engagement, onboarding, coaching, and performance discussions.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing professional development.
• Promote evidence-based practice and regulatory compliance.
