Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Observation/Short Stay Unit. You will provide compassionate, efficient care to patients requiring brief hospitalization and close monitoring, following Relationship-Based Care principles.

Responsibilities include rapid assessment, care planning, direct patient care, team collaboration, and supporting unit operations. Required BLS and ACLS or eligibility, and Michigan RN license prior to hire; diploma or higher nursing

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
• Registered Nurse credentialed in Michigan before hire date.

Responsibilities

• Rapid Assessment & Monitoring: assess patients and monitor condition with swift clinical judgment.
• Efficient Care Planning: create and execute timely care plans for discharge within observation.
• Direct Patient Care: provide nursing care, administer medications, educate patients on discharge.
• Team Leadership & Collaboration: coordinate with physicians and staff.
• Evidence-Based Practice: apply current best practices to improve outcomes.
• Operational Support: participate in quality improvement and unit operations.
