Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a staff Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care to a designated group of patients using the nursing process. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, patient safety, and collaboration with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.

The RN will conduct initial assessments, develop and adjust care plans, administer medications per the 5 Rights, and ensure timely admission and discharge processes.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) per IDFPR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days per AHA.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to scope of service.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care.
• Completes initial assessment and develops care plan.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions.
• Ensures patient and employee safety and reports safety hazards.
• Delegates tasks and validates completion.
• Administers medications following the 5 Rights.
• Maintains prompt response to patient call lights and triage.
• Communicates effectively within the healthcare team.
• Facilitates admission/discharge processes for observation status.
