Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems seeks a Software Engineer 3 – Application Performance Monitoring Engineer to focus on monitoring, observability, and operational excellence. You will use AppDynamics and Splunk to maintain highly available applications and communicate findings to leadership.

The role requires 4+ years in software engineering, strong monitoring skills, and collaboration across teams. This is a 12-month contract with potential conversion, located in Charlotte, NC (preferred) or Las Colinas,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, or education.
• Strong hands-on experience with AppDynamics and Splunk for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication, including with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Monitor application performance and availability using AppDynamics and Splunk.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues and incidents.
• Analyze metrics, logs, and monitoring data to identify trends and root causes.
• Create dashboards and monitoring solutions to improve visibility into application health.
• Partner with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve reliability and performance.
• Support automation initiatives and scripting to enhance monitoring.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and risks to technical teams and leadership.
• Assist with capacity planning and performance optimization.
• Leverage ServiceNow for incident, change, and operational support activities.
• Contribute to observability best practices across the enterprise.
