Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is seeking a Digital Producer/OBS/VMIX Specialist to help transition our newsroom to multi-platform content. You will create and edit original digital content beyond on-air production and support live broadcasts using OBS Studio and VMIX.

You will configure scenes, maintain OBS/VMIX studio collections, train staff on advanced functions, and coordinate with anchors and engineers to ensure smooth, high-quality web and broadcast delivery.

Qualifications

Degree in journalism; daily newspaper or news site experience required; live, working web samples and/or print pages preferred
Experience with OBS Studio and Stream Deck programming.
Knowledge of live television production and studio operations.

Responsibilities

Expert understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
Writes stories for the web and other digital platforms.
Reviews copy and edits for errors per editorial guidelines.
Build and configure scenes, source routing within OBS/VMIX.
Develop and maintain OBS/VMIX studio scene collections for users.
Program and maintain Stream Deck controller to integrate with OBS/VMIX operations.
Operate OBS and/or VMIX during live news broadcasts daily.
Train staff on OBS/VMIX functions, including scene creation and hardware operation.
Prepare OBS/VMIX for live productions, ensuring equipment is ready for air.
Support live broadcasts throughout production/ENPS rundown.
Coordinate with Executives, Anchors and Engineering for smooth broadcasts.
Troubleshoot OBS/VMIX, Stream Deck, and related equipment issues.
Ensure content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.
