Job summary

Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital in Northwest Houston is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN physician to join the core faculty of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program. The position combines direct patient care, teaching residents, and administrative duties within a supportive academic environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Prior administrative and academic preceptorship experience in graduate medical education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Active leadership, engagement, and oversight of the daily clinical needs for Obstetrics and Gynecology patients.
• The position will be a mix of direct patient care, teaching/supervision of the OBGYN residents, and administrative duties.
• Serve as attending/faculty physicians in the residency continuity clinic supervising residents.
• Administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating residents in each of the ACGME competency areas.
• Regularly participate in organized clinical discussions, rounds, including journal clubs and conferences.
• Participate in scholarly activity and quality improvement projects with the residents.
• Night and weekend calls are shared with the other HMPO OB/GYN Residency Faculty physicians and a local private practice OBGYN. A minimum of one 14-hour weekday and one 24-hour weekend call period is required each month.
