Job summary

Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Nocturnist to join our Specialty Physician Group. This full-time nocturnist will provide overnight, in-house coverage for Labor & Delivery and obstetric emergencies at the Willowbrook campus.

Shifts are 15 hours (5:00pm–8:00am), with 2 nights per week and no weekend obligations. The role offers competitive salary, shift-based compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package within a respected academic

Qualifications

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Strong clinical judgment for high-acuity obstetric patients.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Nocturnist or hospital-based OB/GYN experience preferred.
• Interest in resident education is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work 2 nights per week with no weekend shifts.
• 15-hour night shifts from 5:00pm to 8:00am.
• Provide overnight, in-house OB/GYN coverage for Labor & Delivery and emergencies.
• Manage laboring patients and obstetric emergencies during night shifts.
• Perform vaginal deliveries and C-sections as clinically indicated.
• Collaborate with nursing, anesthesia, neonatology, and daytime teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise OB/GYN residents during overnight shifts, as applicable.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives related to obstetric care.

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Nocturnist to join our growing team at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. This position is primarily based at the Willowbrook campus and focuses on overnight, in-house coverage supporting Labor & Delivery and Obstetrics services.

• Supervise and support OB/GYN residents during overnight shifts, as applicable
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives related to obstetric care
• Night shifts are structured and scheduled to support work-life balance; weekend and holiday coverage included per nocturnist schedule
