Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Nocturnist to join Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group. The role centers on overnight, in-house coverage for Labor & Delivery and obstetric services at the Willowbrook campus.

Qualifications

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to manage high-acuity obstetric patients independently.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Prior nocturnist or hospital-based OB/GYN experience preferred.
• Interest in resident education and supervision preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Work 2 nights/week (no weekends).
• 15-hour shifts (5:00pm to 8:00am).
• Provide overnight, in-house OB/GYN coverage for Labor & Delivery and obstetric triage.
• Manage laboring patients, obstetric emergencies, and unassigned patients during night shifts.
• Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections as clinically indicated.
• Collaborate with nursing, anesthesia, neonatology, and daytime OB/GYN teams for continuity of care.
• Supervise and support OB/GYN residents during overnight shifts, as applicable.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives related to obstetric care.
• Night shifts are structured to support work-life balance; weekend/holiday coverage per nocturnist schedule.
