Job summary

AkermanMed in Orange County, CA, is seeking a board-certified or eligible OB/GYN to join its hospital-based women's health team. The role involves labor and delivery management, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetrical emergencies.

You will collaborate with private OB/GYNs, MFM specialists, hospital staff, and midwives while benefiting from a supportive team, malpractice coverage, CME allowance, and a strong community referral base.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Eligible for California medical licensure.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• New graduates and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage labor and delivery patients during assigned shifts.
• Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Evaluate and manage obstetrical emergencies.
• Provide inpatient gynecologic consultations and emergency surgical care.
• Collaborate closely with private OB/GYN physicians, Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, hospital staff, and midwives.
• Support patient safety and quality outcomes in labor and delivery.
