Overview

When you join us, you’ll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of “helping people live the healthiest lives possible.” This is an academic faculty position with responsibilities across clinical care, resident education, and scholarly activity. As a member of our Residency Faculty, you will provide teaching and mentorship to obstetrics and gynecology residents at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado.

Essential Functions
  • You will be a .8 FTE Faculty member, also participating in full OB/GYN call at St. Joseph Hospital.
  • The clinical practice includes full scope obstetrics and gynecology, including labor and delivery, gynecologic surgeries, emergency room care and ambulatory care.
  • Faculty participate in in‑house call, providing coverage for labor and delivery and unassigned OB/GYN patients in the emergency department. Typical call includes approximately two weeknight shifts and one 24‑hour weekend shift per month.
  • You’ll teach and mentor medical students, and residents during all clinical activities.
  • In partnership with the Program Director and institutional leadership, contribute to program operations, strategic direction, and ongoing compliance with ACGME requirements.
  • In collaboration with the Program Director, design and execute an effective curriculum and evaluation process to ensure trainees receive appropriate teaching, rotation experiences, and evaluation.
  • Participate as appropriate in lectures, grand rounds, training programs, educational committees, or similar activities.
  • Coach and mentor learners in scholarly projects including abstracts and poster presentations, case reports, scholarly documents, and publications.
How We’ll Support You

As an Assistant Professor, you will receive an initial salary of $315,303.00. Increased salary and academic rank may be available depending on experience and division need. You’ll also receive a starting bonus of $20,000.00. Faculty will be eligible for academic appointment and advancement through the University of Colorado School of Medicine and the Intermountain Health Education Track, with mentorship and support for promotion.

Minimum Qualifications
