OBGYN Physician/Clinician Informaticist

Cambridge Health Alliance, a Harvard Medical School teaching affiliate, is an award winning, academic public healthcare system receiving national recognition for innovation and community excellence. Our system includes three campuses as well as an established network of primary and specialty practices in Cambridge, Somerville and Boston’s metro‑north area. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is recruiting a full time Ob/Gyn Physician to provide full spectrum gynecological, obstetric, maternity and reproductive health care services. In addition to providing patient care, this physician has dedicated time as a clinician informaticist, reporting to the CHIO.

Highlights
  • Physicians will work in various settings including at one of our three outpatient clinics, inpatient on Labor & Delivery, and in the operating room. Position is located in Cambridge, with flexibility to practice in either Somerville or Revere.

  • Collegial staff with low clinician turnover. Physicians are part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team which includes Certified Nurse Midwives, Family Medicine Physicians, Ob/Gyn trained Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners.

  • Physicians will assume an established patient panel from diverse backgrounds and have capacity to accommodate new patients. Manageable call schedule.

  • Physicians have the opportunity to teach medical students and residents from Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center across all settings. The position carries a Harvard Medical School (HMS) appointment of Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate HMS appointment criteria, candidate qualifications, and commitment to teaching responsibilities.

  • In the IT role, physician serves as liaison between CHA Information Technology and OBGYN and Perinatal Operations to inform population health and value‑based care initiatives.

  • Drives optimization of the electronic health record to promote workflow efficiencies and optimal care of our patients and communities while decreasing provider burden.

  • Helps to identify data requirements and coordinate the advancement of clinical information systems to satisfy data needs across the organization.

  • For those interested/experienced, opportunity to get involved with quality/performance improvement initiatives for the Department.

Qualified candidates will be BE/BC, possess both excellent clinical and communication skills, and share CHA’s mission for providing care to the underserved, multicultural community. Experience with innovative care models, data analytics, and operational governance, as well as facility with information technology preferred; experience with Epic EHR is a plus.

The full time guaranteed base salary range of $250,000-$330,000 is based on years of experience. Total compensation includes base salary plus production incentive.
