Job Summary

Geisinger, one of the premier tertiary medical systems on the east coast, serving the northeast and central Pennsylvania regions, is recruiting an OBGYN Generalist to join the team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

  • Join a robust team of OBGYN physicians, Laborists, Midwives and Advanced Practice Providers
  • Enjoy a balance of obstetrics and gynecology
  • Clinic is every other business day (approximately 11 days/month)
  • Five days of on-call per month/24-hour shifts plus a recovery day following call
  • Midwives available 12 hours per day
  • Average of 2,000 deliveries per year; supported by a level III NICU
  • Competitive straight salary model plus recruitment incentives

About GWV

GWV has been a part of the Geisinger family since opening as the NPW Medical Center in 1981. The professionals at GWV provide high-quality, coordinated, patient-centered care for residents of northeastern Pennsylvania and beyond. Located just outside of Wilkes-Barre, GWV is home to a Level II trauma center to provide care for the most seriously ill and injured patients, as well as services in more than 50 specialties and subspecialty areas.
