Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an OBGYN generalist to join a team of Laborists and Nurse Midwives, co-managing with residents. You will provide inpatient obstetric care for labor and delivery, including emergencies and routine cases, at GWV in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area.

We offer flexible 8/24-hour in-house shifts, access to a level II/III NICU network, relocation options, CME funds, and a comprehensive benefits package with Malpractice & Tail coverage.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine required.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of experienced Laborists and Nurse Midwives, co-managing with residents and midwives.
• Provide inpatient obstetric care to pregnant patients, managing labor and delivery for emergencies and routine cases.
• Support with flexible in-house shifts (8/24 hours) per month.
• Work with surgical PAs to assist with scheduled cesarean deliveries.

• Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre, PA averages 2,000 deliveries per year supported by a level III NICU.


• Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA averages 900 deliveries per year supported by a level II NICU.
