Job summary

The Director of Inpatient Obstetrics at JPS Health Network/Acclaim Physician Group provides medical leadership for obstetric services, including Labor and Delivery and Mother/Baby units, with a focus on quality improvement and patient experience.

The role reports to the Chair/Senior Physician Executive, overseeing clinical operations, policy development, and mentorship of providers, while partnering with MFM and NICU to advance performance and safety.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with residency and/or fellowship in obstetrics.
• Current Texas medical license to practice.
• Board certification or board eligibility in obstetrics/gynecology.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical standards for obstetric services and ensure high-quality patient care.
• Develop evidence-based obstetric care policies and procedures with district staff.
• Monitor quality measures, performance improvement, and utilization in the obstetric service.
• Collaborate with MFM, NICU and pediatric leaders to optimize newborn care.
• Organize and lead obstetric quality-of-care review meetings.
