Qualifications

• Delivers care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to and demonstrates respect for patients.
• Under direction of licensed Nurse or Provider, performs delegated patient care interventions.
• Pre-visit chart reviews and preparatory work per clinic guidelines and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the licensed Nurse/clinic manager as part of the interdisciplinary team to determine priorities.
• Monitors patient flow and communicates wait times and patient status to staff.
• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms; use accurate medical terminology in documentation.
• Assists with intake: verifies identifiers, records vital signs, history, allergies, medications, immunizations.
• Documents and updates patient information and prepares for provider visits.
• Collects, labels, and transports specimens with proper requisitions.
• Identifies emergencies and initiates appropriate response actions within scope.
