Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED plus completion of a medical assistant program or clinical rotation or equivalent healthcare experience.
• Requires at least two years of previous work experience; clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the licensed Nurse/clinic manager as part of the interdisciplinary team to determine assignments and priorities.
• Monitors patient flow and communicates wait times to patients and staff.
• Performs pre-visit chart reviews and prepares for upcoming visits.
• Assists with intake, collects vital signs, histories, allergies, medications; updates the medical record.
• Notifies providers of patient readiness and abnormalities in findings.
• Administers basic procedures and helps with minor clinical tasks under supervision.
