Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Medical Clinic in Pensacola, FL seeks a Medical Assistant for day shift, full-time duties. You will interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on charts under supervision.

You’ll assist with physician-ordered treatments, prepare examination rooms, and perform clerical tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of relevant experience; BLS is required within 30 days of hire,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 1 year of relevant experience.
• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date; AAMA credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients, take vital signs and record information on charts.
• Assist with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or RN.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Perform basic clerical duties including answering calls, maintaining records, filing, and general office support.
• Manage supplies and keep the clinical area orderly.
