Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, is hiring a Medical Assistant for the OBGYN department. This full-time, day-shift role supports physicians with patient care, chart management, and administrative tasks in a busy clinic.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, MA certification and a current BLS. Prior public-facing healthcare experience is preferred and compensation ranges from $22.00 to $26.85 per

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
Graduate from an accredited school of medical assistance.
Medical Assistant Certification
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.
Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks.
Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management.
Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services.
Conveys a positive image of organization.
