Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Denver, Colorado, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver high-quality patient-centered care. You will support physicians and care teams, perform nursing procedures, administer medications, and help maintain a safe, efficient care environment.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, monitoring conditions, and communicating delays or changes to the team. Must meet Colorado state nursing practice standards and KP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program and licensed as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in Colorado.
• High School Diploma OR GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
• I.V. therapy certification may be required for some positions.
• CBL in nursing practice and adherence to KP guidelines.
• Desire to provide superior, culturally sensitive service.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care following physician orders and approved care plans.
• Administers medications including narcotics as prescribed.
• Rooms patients, communicates delays to patient and team.
• Maintains patient safety using infection control and two identifiers.
• Monitors patient condition and reports changes promptly.
• Prepares patient for examinations and minor procedures.
• Assists in orienting and training new staff.
