Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Colorado is seeking a Practical Nurse for a flex position that will float to Aurora Centerpoint, Arapahoe, and Lone Tree OBGYN Departments. The role supports physicians, maintains patient safety, and performs nursing procedures with focus on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications include a Colorado LPN license and completion of a state-approved practical nursing program, plus a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program and licensed as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in Colorado.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Complies with Kaiser Permanente quality, safety, and emergency policies and procedures.
• Maintains patient safety and asepsis in care provision, including accurate medication administration checks.
• Supports physicians and providers, including rooming patients and communicating delays to the team.
• Performs nursing procedures per orders and care plans, including administration of medications and IV therapy where certified.
• Documents patient information in medical records per standard requirements.
• Assists in orienting and training new staff and may supervise nursing/medical assistants.
• Manages inventory of supplies and coordinates department activities.
• Embodies KP service credo and delivers culturally sensitive service to members and providers.
