Job summary

All Star Healthcare Solutions is seeking an on-site OB/GYN to cover shifts at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena in Alpena, MI. This assignment includes clinic and call coverage with urgent start dates and a brief orientation before the first shift.

Credentialing requires an ACGME-approved residency, clean malpractice record, NPDB check within 90 days, three references, and case logs (50 deliveries, 25 GYN procedures) within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Residencies & Fellowships must be ACGME Approved.
• Clean malpractice history is required.
• NPDB check within the past 90 days.
• Three professional references within 18 months.
• Case/patient logs showing 50 deliveries and 25 GYN procedures within 12 months.
• Board Certification or Board Eligible within 5 years.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Attend OB/GYN cases as scheduled including urgent shifts.
• Perform or assist in C-sections and laparoscopic procedures as assigned.
• Read NSTs and document findings in the EMR.

• Clinic time available but not required. Please note if your candidate is open to assisting in the clinic.

Schedule: (dates in red are needing urgent coverage)

• One business day of orientation prior to first shift.
• Proctoring to be scheduled once first shift is confirmed.
• 8/25 @ 7am - 8/26 @ 7am
• 8/31 @ 7am - 9/2 @ 7am
• 9/3 @ 7am - 9/4 @ 7am
• 9/7 @ 7am - 9/9 @ 7am
• 10/15 @ 7am - 10/17 @ 7am
• 10/20 @ 7am - 10/21 @ 7am
• 11/3 - 7am - 7pm - will take 24-hour shift if available
• 11/12 @ 7am - 11/13 @ 7am

Cases/Procedures:

• Suction D&C
• Laparoscopy
• Read NST's
• C/Sections
• Circumcisions
• Tubal Ligations

EMR and Dictation Tools:

Requirements for credentialing:

• All Residencies & Fellowships must be ACGME Approved
• No large malpractice issues
• NPDB ran within the past 90 days required with candidate presentation
• Three professional references that have worked with the provider within 18 months
• Case/patient logs to show 50 deliveries and 25 GYN procedures within 12 months
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years
• ACLS,BLS, and PALS

Case Log Requirements:

• Case/Patient Logs to show 50 deliveries and 25 GYN procedures within 12 months

o Consider IMLC or waiting for a license:

• MI license preferred due to timeline
• Will consider IMLC

o Credentialing Timeframe:

• Typically, 30 days, but applications are prioritized according to start date.
