Job summary

MarinHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant - Front/Back Swing to support care teams in Greenbrae. Under the supervision of the Clinical Lead, you will gather patient information, measure vitals, assist with procedures, and help maintain a clean, organized clinic.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED certificate required.
Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program such as NHA and AMCA required.
BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
At least one year of related medical assisting experience in a physician’s office or clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting symptoms, and recording visit details.
Provide courteous, compassionate care and maintain patient confidentiality.
Document information in EMR, including meaningful Use data and referrals.
Provide injections, immunizations, and assistance during procedures.
Manage communication: lab results, prescriptions, and referrals in the EMR.
Answer phones, schedule appointments, check in patients, and address inquiries.
Process insurance verifications and authorizations; assist patients with plans.
Maintain clinic areas and inventory; ensure rooms are disinfected between visits.
