Job summary

MultiCare is seeking a Physician Faculty-OBGYN to educate Family Medicine fellows and residents while delivering high-quality obstetrics and gynecology care. The role blends direct patient care with teaching and curriculum work.

Responsibilities include prenatal care, labor and delivery, and surgical procedures, with teaching responsibilities and program development. Tacoma General provides a broad clinical setting with a strong academic culture.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Washington State medical license by start of employment.
• Board certified or eligible in OBGYN.
• DEA, NPI, and state prescriptive authority by start of employment.
• At least 1 year experience teaching in residency/fellowship or medical teaching environment preferred.
• Clinically active in OBGYN preferred.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensures comprehensive OBGYN care for a patient panel including prenatal, labor/delivery and surgical management.
• Diagnoses and treats acute and chronic conditions using evidence-based guidelines.
• Leads hospital rounding and clinic coverage per departmental guidelines.
• Participates in after-hours call coverage and labor deck coverage.
• Timely and accurate documentation of patient encounters and asynchronous care.
• Leads a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
