Job summary

MedicalWorx Staffing is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant in Fort Worth, TX to support physicians and the care team in exams, vital signs, and documentation. You will maintain patient records and ensure smooth patient flow in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, injections, instrument sterilization, and patient education, with a focus on HIPAA compliance and high-quality care. Prior MA certification and EHR proficiency are required or imminent upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• CMA, RMA or CCMA certification is required.
• 2+ years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks or similar).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain on hire).

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients, verifying demographic and insurance information.
• Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
• Perform basic lab tests, phlebotomy, and administer injections as needed.
• Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and exam rooms.
• Educate patients on medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Schedule appointments, handle phone calls, and manage patient referrals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
