Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy, and medications.
• Detail oriented and professional attitude.
• Strong organizational and communication skills in English.
• Ability to follow instructions and document accurately.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• HIPAA guidelines awareness and regulatory understanding.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a patient advocate during exams and treatment.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and vital signs.
• Prepare patients and rooms for physician procedures.
• Record medical history, medications, allergies and test results.
• Administer medications per physician instructions and safety protocols.
• Collect samples and prepare them for testing.
• Explain procedures, medications and care instructions to patients.
• Assist physicians during procedures and with injections or sutures.
• Manage referrals, scheduling and patient communications.
• Maintain sterile field and clean/prepare treatment rooms daily.
