Job summary

Chesapeake Regional Healthcare is seeking an OBED Care Technician to support the OBED Unit under RN supervision. You will perform direct patient care, clerical duties, and data entry while maintaining aseptic technique and safety standards.

The role involves adolescent and adult patient care, vital signs, specimen handling, and bedside support. Responsibilities include documenting data in EMR, managing supplies, notifying nurses of changes, and assisting with procedures under Infection Control

Qualifications

• Minimum Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as Nursing Assistant is preferred.
• BLS Certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and document data in EMR.
• Perform aseptic technique as per policy.
• Conduct blood glucose monitoring and phlebotomy.
• Collect, transport, and data-enter lab specimens.
• Assist with Foley catheter insertions/removals and IV therapy.
• Provide clerical support for admissions/transfers/discharges.
