Job summary

Quanta Manufacturing Fremont is seeking an Out-of-Box Audit (OBA) Supervisor to lead the OBA team in completing final appearance inspections prior to shipment, ensuring packaging and visible quality meet customer expectations. The role collaborates with Process Engineering and Quality teams to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing lifecycle.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and 5+ years of quality inspection

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality inspection or related manufacturing roles.
• Experience supervising a team or coordinating workflow.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the OBA team to ensure consistent visual inspections of finished products.
• Plan and oversee final product inspections prior to shipment, ensuring compliance with customer appearance and packaging standards.
• Upload inspection results to the internal Shop Floor system, and capture and store photos for traceability.
• Identify product defects and coordinate rework or corrective actions with Process and Quality Engineers.
• Make independent decisions on appearance-related acceptance or rejection.
• Escalate rejected items to the Process Engineering team for resolution.
• Re-inspect corrected units to verify defects have been addressed before final release.
• Ensure inspection records are maintained accurately for traceability and future analysis.
• Train and guide OBA team members on inspection procedures, quality standards, and proper documentation.
• Monitor inspection workflow, assign tasks, and ensure team productivity and adherence to schedules.
