Job summary

Acclaim Health, part of the JPS Health Network family, seeks an OB Triage Advanced Practice Provider (CNM or WHNP) to join the 24/7 OB triage unit at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

You will work 12-hour shifts, covering days, nights, weekends, with holidays as needed, collaborating with physicians and residents to triage obstetric and gynecologic emergencies and provide education and care.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years OB Triage experience as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program or accredited Nurse Midwife program.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the physician in overseeing and coordinating the multidisciplinary care delivered to all patients, to optimize quality patient care.
• Reviews patient medical charts to assist physician with diagnosis, treatment and care management.
• Makes appropriate patient referrals as necessary.
• Monitors guidelines for the management of care and for ensuring that the services are delivered in compliance with the guidelines established by JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group.
• Provides care education to patients and families.
• Provides evidence-based and compassionate care to all patients as assigned to improve patient outcomes and increase patient satisfaction scores.
• Maintains a collaborative environment with providers, clinical staff, and support staff.
• Supports academic, educational and research endeavors.
• Attends Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committee meetings; and is an active participant in the process.
• Serves as a resource to the community.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The OB triage unit is a specialized emergency unit dedicated to the triage and treatment of urgent and emergent obstetric and gynecologic problems. The OB Triage unit is managed 24 hours a day by highly skilled Advanced Practice Providers in collaboration with resident and faculty physicians. Located within the Main hospital and in proximity to all Women’s And Infants services including Labor/Delivery, Antepartum, Postpartum and NICU units, the OB triage unit consists of 10 exam rooms and a dedicated ultrasound suite, and averages 11,000 visits per year.

Our Advanced Practice Provider group consists of trusted and experienced nurse practitioners and certified nurse midwives who are committed to providing excellent health care to women and to ensuring that every child has the best possible start in life. They work in concert with our Physicians on a daily basis and are highly regarded by our patients and their families for the confidence they engender and the relationships they foster through attentiveness, responsiveness, and meaningful communication. Advanced Practice Providers are a valued part of our healthcare team and are integral to maintaining our commitment to providing quality health care to the patients and families that we serve.
