Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City, MO, seeks an OB Technician in Labor and Delivery to assist in the care of patients undergoing surgical intervention. You’ll perform clinical and clerical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Preferred OR Tech experience or completion of OR Tech program. Full-time night shift 1900-0700.

• Experience aligned with OB Tech role and surgical care experience preferred.
• Collaborates with Registered Nurses and health care team.

Job description

Job Description OB Technician within the organizational structure of the Labor and Delivery area assists in delivery of care to the patient experiencing surgical intervention. Primary function is to assist with surgical procedures. The OB Tech provides patient care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. The OB Tech individualizes and modifies care according to the patients needs. The OB Tech collaborates with other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care. The OB Tech assumes a multiskilled role performing clinical and clerical functions that serves as an integral member of the primary patient care team Preferred: OR Tech experience or completion of OR Tech Program Shift: Full-time - Night 1900-0700
