George Washington University Hospital in downtown Washington, DC, is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team. The role involves preparing supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgeries and anticipating needs in the surgical field while assisting the team in all procedures.

The position requires knowledge of medical terminology, strong communication, and fluency in English; CST certification is preferred.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or certification or degree from an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA is preferred.

Position Summary

Qualifications

Education/Qualification

• High School diploma or equivalency
• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or certification or degree from an accredited nursing program or equivalent
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is preferred

Skills

• Able to speak and write English Fluently

• Knowledge of surgical instruments
