Job summary

Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI is seeking an OB Technician per diem to support Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum operations. Responsibilities include preparing sterile supplies for the surgeon and maintaining a sterile field during procedures, as well as assisting with daily living activities and newborn care under RN direction.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, current BLS, and nursing assistant certification; a Surgical Scrub Technician credential or equivalent

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• BLS Certification within 30 days and maintain current.
• Current certification as a nursing assistant.
• Certified Surgical Scrub Technician or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• The OB Technician performs a variety of patient care and clerical duties to support Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP).
• Prepares and provides the surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments while maintaining sterile field during the case.
• Assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to both mom and newborn, and maintains a safe environment under RN supervision.
• Completes and processes birth certificates, and Declarations of Paternity forms as needed.

The OB Technician performs a variety of patient care and clerical duties to assist and support the organization and function of the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP).. The OB Tech is responsible for the preparation of and providing the surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments while maintaining sterile field during the case. The OB Tech will assist with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care to both the mom and the newborn and assists in the maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Completes and processes birth certificates, and "Declaration of Paternity" forms as needed. Qualifications
