Job Summary and Qualifications

The OB Surgical Technician, under the supervision of a registered nurse, performs perioperative nursing tasks for patients undergoing surgery or vaginal delivery. Assists the Labor and Delivery team with patient care, equipment, and supplies. Provides care for neonatal, adolescent (12-17 years), and adult patients (18-50 years).

Required qualifications include:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Surgical Technician Program completion (preferred).
• Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) (preferred).
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (required).
• One-year perioperative or obstetrical experience (preferred).
