Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking an OB Technician to support the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP) unit. The role involves direct patient care across neonate to adult, and collaboration with RNs, physicians, and families.

The position is Per Diem with a Day shift; responsibilities include handling birth certificates and declarations of paternity, along with required certifications. 1+ year of acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS Certification within 30 days and must be maintained.
• Completion of Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, ROP, Paramedic Training Program, Paramedic Training Program or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients of various ages (neonate, adolescent, adult).
• Interacts with physicians, patients, families/significant others, hospital staff and community agencies in providing basic care.
• Responsible for completion and processing of the birth certificates and Declaration of Paternity forms.
• Per Diem role; 1+ year of acute care experience preferred.

Works cooperatively with and under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Provides direct care to patient of various ages (neonate, adolescent, adult). Interacts with physicians, patients, families/significant others, hospital staff and community agencies in providing basic care. Is responsible for completion and processing of the birth certificates, and "Declaration of Paternity" forms.

*This is a Per Diem role, 1+ year of acute care experience preferred*

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• BLS Certification within 30 days and maintain current

Pay Transparency

St. Francis Medical Center offers competitive compensation and the current compensation rate for this role is $31.16. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
